Students perform haka to pay tribute to classmates killed in Christchurch
Students from various schools paid tribute to two of their peers who died in the Christchurch shooting by performing a haka, a ceremonial Maori dance to mourn the victims and honour the dead. They were joined by scores of fellow students to form a deafening chorus. At least 50 people were killed in the attack, which was the worst mass killing in New Zealand's history.
If this doesn't get you emotional not much will.

Nearly 100 Captive Orcas and Belugas at Risk of Drowning, Freezing to Death
This is an absolute disgrace.
Not just the capturing of these magnificent creatures, but then to hold them in tanks like these and let them suffer in the freezing conditions. All for the sake of money and entertainment.

Best Pictures Of 2018
We're still fighting over petty stuff in 2018 and it seems we've started fighting over more and more petty stuff.

Worst riots in Paris since 1968
Several thousand riot police were overwhelmed on Saturday as they fought running battles with protesters in the shadows of some of Paris’ fabled landmarks and through its fanciest shopping districts. More than 400 people were arrested and more than 100 injured, shocking Parisians and tourists alike.
It all started as a yellow vest protest movement against rising living costs (fuel and such) and has been hijacked by those only looking for trouble. As almost always happens.
