After three weeks of playing football it has come down to this one match to determine who can call themselves Euro champions for the next four years.
In the Stade de France in Paris Portugal took on the home nation France for the title and it was a slightly boring game. The most interesting thing happened early on when suprerstar Cristiano Ronaldo was injured by a challenge from Payet. He tried to carry on, but after 5 minutes of trying he had to be substituted with tears in his eyes.
Both sides had some changes in the 90 minutes of regular play and France even hit the post in the 92nd minute, but the game went to extra time.
In the 110th minute of the game Portugal finally scored a goal. Eder took a shot at goal and Lloris simply couldn't keep it out. It turned out to be the winning goal.
Portugal win their first major football tournament.
