Formula One 2012: British Grand Prix
The British Grand Prix at Silverstone is always something special. The fast and wide track make for exciting racing and the British crowds are always good in their support of drivers giving their all. Unfortunately the British weather didn't play nice on Friday and Saturday and Silverstone was turned into a muddy pool. The racing was suspended several times and the crowds were wet wet wet. In the end Fernando Alonso claimed pole position. On race day the sun was out and the racing was going to be dry. With certain drivers starting on the soft tires and others on the harder compound it was very difficult to judge who was going to come out on top. It certainly wasn't going to be home drivers Hamilton and Button as their McLarens simply did not have the speed. For a long time it looked as if Alonso was going to claim victory, but with several laps to go Mark Webber excuted a brilliant overtaking move and took the lead and chequered flag.
